What do you know?

"An education isn't how much you have committed to memory, or even how much you know. It's being able to differentiate between what you do know and what you don't."

Ask and you shall receive ... The answer that is

We have been in the search engine optimization biz for over a decade now (Time flies when you’re having fun). We have been asked just about anything you can imagine. Here are some of the most common questions we receive about the process of search engine optimization. We hope that you will find this information helpful. If you have a question and don’t see it listed below, let us know. We are always happy to help.

  • Special Relationship with Google?
    Q. Does AIM have a special relationship with Google that will guarantee your clients a high ranking?
    A. I wish! But the answer is no. Google does not have “special relationships” with any SEO company.

  • Site Hosting
    Q. Does my site have to be hosted with AIM to use your services?
    A. No. We do not host websites. However, we will work closely with whoever is handling your site.

  • Banned by Google?
    Q. Has my site been banned by Google? It’s been up 6 months with no listings.
    A. If your site is ethically sound (no cloaking, hidden text, etc.), there could be many reasons. One is time; it can take Google up to 9 months to list certain sites. Does your site have good quality links coming to it? Does your site have well written text, using descriptive keywords without being excessive? How’s your title tags? Patience is the name of the game with organic search engine optimization. If you don’t have the time or the patience, Paid Search Marketing Services also known as pay per click (PPC) will provide instant listings. Once you have achieved high rankings with your organic listings you can then choose to phase out your PPC campaign.

  • Web Analytics
    Q. I hear the term"web analytics." What is it? Is it a tool or a method?
    A. It is both. Web analytics is tool used to measure and analyze the behavior of visitors to a web site through statistical data. By interpreting the data and asking the right questions, this valuable information lends the ability to track who is coming to your site, where they are coming from, and which keywords are generating the most traffic, as well as your ROI for your marketing campaign, and much more.

  • PPC Fraud
    Q. I think my competitors are abusing my PPC ad campaign by continually clicking through my site and exhausting my budget. Is there a way to tell if this happening and what can I do about?
    A. This method of sabotaging an ad campaign is known as Click Fraud. Through our Web Marketing Analytics Service we can track who and how often someone is clicking on your site. If abuse is detected, we provide a spreadsheet with a detailed log of click activity ready to submit to the appropriate PPC provider. Providing this detailed information increases your chances of obtaining a refund from them.
